Two-Minute Drill

Two-Minute Drill by Mike Lupicia is 180 pages. The main character in this story is Scott Parry, who is dorky, brainy, clumsy, and shy gets to know the coolist kid in the sixth grade. Chris Conlan, the cool kid, is the star quarter-back for the football team at Bloomfield South finds out that Scott is a really good kicker. Chris Conlan tells the coach about Scott's skill at kicking and Scott ends up going in the championship game and drop kicking it just like his idol, Doug Flutie. Scott wins the game for the Eagles.

Smiles To Go

Smiles To Go by Jerry Spinelli is 248 pages and a very interesting book. Will Tuppence, the main character, is all about  skateboarding, chess, and relationships. He  practices for a chess tourniment with his dad and says that he doesen't want his annoying  sister, Tabby to be there. She sneaks out and ends up in the hospital for skating down 'Dead Mans Hill'. Will gets really freaked out when he hears that a proton decays. He starts to look at the world and his relationships with his sister and his two best friends in a different way because of this.

Report to the Principal's Office

Report to the Principal's Office by Jerry Spinelli is134 pages and an exciting book about four 6th graders. Four kids are starting middle school very odd way. On the bus before school, two kids and the new principal end up at a gas station because the bus driver doesen't want to be late for his second job. In the middle of the book, the four kids get called to the principal's office for lunch. They end up being called the 'Principal's Posse' and they have to find ideas for the new school mascot. They come up with the Plumstead Hammsters because they find a hammster that ends up dying.
